Town Hall Meeting on Residential Care Facility Referral Agencies on Friday, August 5 in Norwalk

August 1, 2016

Sacramento – Senator Tony Mendoza (D-Artesia) will host a town hall meeting on Friday, August 5, 2016 from 10 a.m. to Noon regarding his bill SB 648, which would establish oversight for companies that refer clients to health and residential care facilities for the elderly. Seniors and their families are often preyed upon by unscrupulous referral agencies that care only about profit and not the well-being of their clients.

The town hall will be held at the Norwalk City Council Chambers, 12700 Norwalk Blvd, Norwalk, CA 90650. Please see attached flyer.

“I invite interested seniors, their family members, and caregivers to this important town hall to learn about SB 648, which will strengthen oversight of health and elder care referral agencies,” said Senator Tony Mendoza.
