Sacramento – A measure, SB 1342, authored by Senator Tony Mendoza (D-Artesia) that would protect workers by paving the way for a statewide mechanism at the local level to fight wage theft, was approved today by the State Senate on a unanimous bipartisan of 37 to 0 vote. Sacramento – More than a hundred area residents attended a free citizenship fair on Saturday in Norwalk hosted by Senator Tony Mendoza (D-Artesia), along with the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District, Cerritos College, National Association of Latino Elected Officials Education Fund, Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF) and the Council of Mexican Federations (COFEM).

“The citizenship fair provided area residents with information as well as assistance completing their documentation for citizenship,” said Senator Tony Mendoza.
