Young Senators Leadership Program
Thank you for your interest in the 32nd District Young Senators Leadership Program. This program is a unique opportunity for high school seniors to learn about government services, the legislative process, and receive experiences that may enhance your decision to pursue a career in public service.
Participants will attend meetings with legislative staff; research local issues; assist constituents; and commit to the following: attend all scheduled monthly (3 hour) sessions for nine months, attend 40 hours of civic engagement, and complete all program session assignments.
Applying is simple. Complete the application form, list your goals, interests, and strengths, and return it to my District Office by June 30. I am passionate about public service and I hope you are too.

YSLP has impacted me in a big way. It has taught me about my government and how I am able to help my community. It has opened my eyes to different experiences and the reality of life. I have met students, just like me, who have an open mind and are willing to learn about our government. I have made friends and connections that will last a lifetime. It has taught me that even as one person, I can do so much. YSLP has encouraged me to try my best and to be all of which a woman is capable.
